MAJALAH ICT – Jakarta. Penghargaan Indonesia Golden Ring Awards (IGRA) kembali gelar. Penghargaan tahun ini merupakan pergelaran yang ke-7 kalinya. Penghargaan ini merupakan bentuk apresiasi terhadap pencapaian yang telah diraih oleh para operator, vendor, start up, serta pelaku industri lainnya selama setahun terakhir.
Dijelaskan Ketua Pelaksana IGRA 2015, Danang Arradian, penghargaan IGRA 2015 diberikan berdasarkan hasil polling dari 75 jurnalis di bidang teknologi. "Semangat dari penghargaan ini adalah penilaian obyektif dari para jurnalis berdasarkan pengamatan, pengalaman, serta keahlian mereka di bidang industri telekomunikasi," katanya.

Selain memberikan penghargaan kepada para pelaku industri telekomunikasi, penyelanggara IGRA 2015 juga menggelar talk show bertema "Mendorong LTE dan Penguatan Konten Lokal". Talkshow ini dihadiri oleh Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika Rudiantara, para CEO operator telekomunikasi, vendor handset, serta perusahaan perintis (startup).
Rudiantara mengatakan bahwa Indonesia harus mengejar ketertinggalan dengan negara maju di bidang ICT. Karenanya, seluruh potensi yang ada harus bersinergi, terutama ekosistem device (perangkat), network (operator), dan application (aplikasi). Jika ketiganya tidak berfungsi dengan baik, maka broadband di Indonesia akan pincang, kata Rudiantara.
